Mike Mancuso
Mike is a 30-year experienced risk professional and proven leader in the insurance industry. Mike began his career as a liability adjuster and trained investigator for a large independent adjusting organization. Mike then joined a large insurance company as a multi-line field claims professional responsible for the adjustment and resolution of first party property, workers compensation, and liability claims for both personal and commercial policyholders. He was promoted to a field manager supervising claim professionals on multi-line claim services in multiple territories, and advanced to a home office casualty supervisor responsible for the initial triaging of cases and management of litigation files. Mike then joined an established independent insurance agency as a licensed property and casualty producer while also providing claim consulting and claim advocacy services for the agency clients.
For the last 12 years, Mike has proven to be an expert in the field of complex claims, working as a Corporate Analyst, Complex Claim Specialist, Litigation Manager, and Complex Claim Manager for a large and successful insurance carrier. Mike managed the company’s high exposure casualty cases, including taking several cases to trial and verdicts in multiple venues, as well as leading a talented team with responsibility of over 500 files and reserves in excess of $90,000,000. Mike has developed and maintains strong relationships with many top trial attorneys and insurance professionals around the United States.
Matt Karpovich
Matt grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Penn State University before embarking on a distinguished career in casualty insurance claims. Over the course of 40+ years, he held various roles, including Field Adjuster, Senior Claims Representative, Litigation Manager, Claims Consultant, and Complex Claims Handler.
Throughout his career, Matt gained extensive expertise in Auto Liability, General Liability, Intellectual Property, First Party Bad Faith, and Workers Compensation. He excelled in investigating claims, confirming coverage, determining liability, evaluating losses, and negotiating settlements. His experience includes collaborating closely with defense counsel on litigated claims, attending depositions, settlement conferences, and trials, and participating in mediations with a success rate exceeding 85%.
As a Complex Claims Handler, Matt managed high-stakes claims involving severe injuries, complex contractual and coverage issues, and unique liability scenarios. His position required a high degree of autonomy, and he was entrusted with settlement authority of up to $500,000.
Since retiring, Matt continues to apply his expertise as a claims consultant for various companies. He currently resides in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, with his wife and their two Bernese Mountain Dogs. In his free time, he enjoys golf, fishing, and long walks. A dedicated volunteer, Matt supports his community by preparing tax returns for seniors through Berks Encore and helping at the local food bank.
